uComm Global vHub Definitions

Auto-Fulfillment / System Integration – One of the most unique and powerful features of uComm Transaction Gateway & Management is its ability to send data out to other systems involved in the transaction – including fulfillment, warehouse, and inventory systems. This creates a transaction processing system that is managed, not by the merchant, but by uComm Global Virtual Hub. This feature relieves the merchant from having to manage the flow of data and provides a clear line of demarcation for PCI 2.0 compliance. Appropriate transaction data is automatically routed to fulfillment centers, accelerating the merchandise delivery and shortening the payment time to merchants.

AVS Monitoring – uComm Transaction Gateway & Management enables the merchant acquirer to monitor address verification enforcement through the Address Verification System (AVS). This adds another layer of security for card-not-present (CNP) transactions.

Chargeback insurance – uComm Insurance offers merchants and acquirers insurance against loss due to chargebacks from transactions disputed by consumers. This is especially important for businesses such as gaming where buyers are more likely to deny legitimate transactions, and travel agencies and live events where there are long periods between purchase and fulfillment.

Collect data across all online commerce channels – uComm Advanced Analytics and Intelligence enables merchants to collect front-end (visits, page views, etc.) and back-end (transaction) data from all online commerce channels—web, mobile and social.

Continually-refreshed fraud database – The uComm Global Virtual Hub maintains a proprietary database of negative transaction information—including names, phone numbers, card numbers, and IP addresses—from all merchants’ transactions. This enables a continually refreshed fraud management system for all merchants, merchant acquirers and processors utilizing the uComm Global Virtual Hub.

Customer Scoring – uComm Transaction Gateway & Management has a scoring system to rate repeat customers and identify “bad actors”. Customers who chargeback, and request excessive refunds and credits, receive lower scores. The system then allows merchants to set limits on “bad actor” transactions.

CVV2/CVC2 monitoring – uComm Transaction Gateway & Management enables the merchant acquirer to monitor the three-digit CVV/CVC code verification enforcement, thereby providing a layer of security for card-not-present (CNP) transactions. Visa calls the three–digit code the Card Verification Value (CVV2) and MasterCard calls it the Card Validation Code (CVC2).

CVV2/CVC2 and AVS real-time alerts and reporting – uComm Transaction Gateway & Management provides real-time alerts to merchant acquirers when CVV2/CVC2 or AVS enforcement deviates from established policies, and allows periodic reports to track processor enforcement and merchant compliance and to detect trends.

Data breach insurance – uComm Insurance offers merchants and acquirers insurance against loss due to data security breaches, including the cost of forensic audits and fines levied by associations.

Deliver the most relevant content and promotions – uComm Advanced Analytics and Intelligence enables merchants to deliver the right offers to the right customer segments through the right online channels, thereby increasing response rates and transactions.

Email Retargeting – uComm Advanced Analytics and Intelligence has the ability to automatically retarget potential buyers, based on activities such as cart abandonment, extended search, and interest in companion products.

Fraud insurance – uComm Insurance offers merchants insurance against loss due to existing account fraud (the identity of the person who made the transaction cannot be established) and new account fraud (new accounts opened with stolen identity information), and offers merchant acquirers the same coverage plus insurance against merchant fraud (consumer orders taken but intentionally not delivered).

HIPAA insurance –  uComm Insurance offers insurance to indemnify healthcare institutions from fines resulting from inadvertent violations of security, administrative or technical safeguards.

Monitor and measure social media influence and outreach – uComm Advanced Analytics and Intelligence enables a merchant to monitor and measure brand and competitor influence and outreach in social media networks and relevant interest-based communities by identifying influencers and observing their content, who it reaches, who acts upon it, and whether it is relayed to others.
